Look
up at the sky and listen to the silence under the stars, surrounded by
crops in the countryside. The Casamartina family, and their tenant farmers,
have been shaping this corner of Catalonia over the last thousand years.
We live and look after our farm animals in the ancestral home, and have
completely restored and converted the tenant farmhouse to provide accommodation
for eight to twelve.

| La Caseta
has two large, bright floors. The upper floor features four double
bedrooms, two fully-equipped bathrooms and a living room. On the
ground floor are the dining room, a bathroom, the kitchen and two
further rooms. Around the house are its porch and garden and a holm
oak wood. Comprehensively equipped, it offers heating, fireplace,
TV, garden furniture, and in the kitchen, washing machine, a barbecue,
dishwasher, microwave, and more. |

| It is
found in the municipality of Riner, in the Solsonès district,
between Solsona (14 km), Cardona (14 km), the Santuari del Miracle
(6 km) and the Sant Ponç reservoir (6 km). Walking or by
mountain bike, you can reach local masías (traditional farmhouses),
the Torre de Riner (a 25-minute walk), and the towns of the municipality:
Freixinet, Santa Susanna and Su (between 3 and 5 km away) with their
restaurants offering local cuisine. |

The town of Solsona offers
a wide range of facilities and services and Cardona the charm of
its streets, the diocesan museum, the castle and the salt mine.
Close by, you can visit megalithic tombs, Romanesque churches and
the Baroque altarpiece of el Miracle; enjoy spectacular views such
as those over the Sierra de la Busa hills or the Valle del Lord
valley, water sports on the Sant Ponç reservoir or the slopes
of the Port del Compte ski resort. Other options include the weekly markets at Solsona (Friday) and Cardona (Sunday) and the area’s traditional festivities. All this within 40 km of the house. |
